Final thoughts about Geography at GCSE

Many thanks to all of you who braved the weather last night to come and see us on the geography stand. Remember to speak to your classroom geography teacher or the subject leader for Geography (Miss Moore) if you have any questions or if you would like a copy of the green leaflet with the course overview.

We think the study of geography is the most relevant subject for everyone’s future, a geographer is aware of PEOPLE and PLACES and every further education course, job, career and ‘life in general’ requires an understanding of what is going on around you. The geography department at SNHS has a proven track record for enabling its geography students to achieve a higher than school average for % of students gaining A*-C grades at GCSE. If you enjoy this subject, are interested in the topics, and want to achieve well, then hopefully geography will be the right choice for you.
